The brief: Create new identity, guidelines and website for regional security firm that positions as innovative supplier of bespoke web-based security systems and services

Background

GBSG is a highly regarded security company that has been operating throughout the Midlands for over 30 years. It is trusted to protect a wide range of clients’ property and assets ranging from large commercial operations such as the main Vax distribution centre and various solar farms, to schools, company premises and private homes.

The company has also been developing a cloud-based security service that allows much greater customisation and future-proofing of installations, as well as integration with smartphones and other mobile devices.

GBSG commissioned POP to create a new identity that would help communicate the firm’s considerable expertise, modernise its look and feel and provide a practical toolkit for future marketing work.

Secure delivery

POP began the process with competitor analysis and gathering insight from the management team. From this we were able to help them identify the values that uphold their brand and competitive position in the marketplace.

We created a comprehensive identity that includes all visual elements from logo and strapline to icongraphy, typography and imagery

We then created a comprehensive identity scheme that includes all visual elements from logo and strapline to icongraphy, typography and imagery.

Once the scheme had been created, we produced a toolkit of masters and templates for the internal marketing team to use and an introductory handbook for distribution at internal presentations that unveiled the new brand to staff and suppliers.

In parallel with the latter stages of the project, POP also designed and developed GBSG’s new website. The website was created after thorough SEO research and is fully responsive to mobile devices.

As with all of the websites POP delivers, we configured the Expression Engine CMS (Content Management System) to be as easy to use as possible, this means it can be fully content managed by the in-house GBSG marketing team.
